Loz’s Reflective Diary

The fact that i’m doing origami flowers as may avatar artifact, i just thought i’d show you how i made them. I pretty much just followed the instructions from this origami site. Then, once i got all the petals organised, i hot glue-gunned the petals together and then glued them in the arrangement around a thick knitting needle. I am now in the process of creating a home for the bunch of flowers, probably the likes of a flower box (like the ones you buy as gifts). The fact that i brought the bunch into class and Kimberley already saw them, after i have found a home for them i will be taking some photos as evidence so that Kimberley doesn’t have to carry them home and worry about squishing them. I will be presenting my avatar narrative either physically on the box, on the ‘wrapping paper’ surrounding the flowers, or on a little gift tag that i might happen to make for it. I will post up photos of the final artifact when it is complete. I will also be posting up a more in-depth explanation of all the metaphors and meanings behind why i chose what i did for my artifact.
